Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how My Islands LLC (“CardPouchy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit cardpouchy.com (the “Site”) or use our services. Our services include sourcing and selling trading cards, proxy selling, valuation, grading submission, vault storage, and shipping (the “Services”).
By using the Site or our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account information:your name, username, password, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
- Contact information:the information you submit through forms on the Site, such as our consultation form, and any messages you send us.
- Order information:the cards you ask us to obtain for you, sell for you, grade, or store; links to listings; bid amounts; and your order history.
- Shipping information:recipient name, shipping address, and phone number.
- Payment information:payment card details, bank account information, and details of any other payment method you use. We use your bank account information to process payments you make by bank transfer, to send refunds, to return security deposits, and to pay out proceeds from our proxy selling service.
- Identity information:where required by law or by our payment partners, information that verifies your identity, such as a government-issued ID.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information:IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and the date and time of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies:see Section 5 below.
Information from third parties
- Payment processors:confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and limited payment details.
- Marketplaces, auction houses, grading companies, and vaults(such as eBay, Fanatics, Goldin, PSA, and Beckett): order, auction, grading, and storage status for the items we handle for you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Process your orders, deposits, payments, refunds, and payouts.
- Obtain, sell, grade, store, and ship cards for you, and sell your cards through our proxy selling service.
- Communicate with you about orders, quotes, account matters, and customer support.
- Send you updates and promotions, if you agree to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Services.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and enforce our User Agreement.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Payment processors and banks, to process payments, refunds, and payouts.
- Marketplaces, sellers, and auction houses, only as needed to complete a purchase, a proxy sale, a shipment, or a dispute.
- Grading companies and vault providers, to submit, grade, and store your items.
- Shipping and logistics carriers, to deliver items to the address you choose, and customs and export authorities, when required for international shipments.
- Service providersthat host the Site, provide IT, email, analytics, and customer support services. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CardPouchy, our users, or others.
- Business transfers, if CardPouchy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent, in any other case.
4. Payment Security
Payment card transactions are handled by third-party payment processors that follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We do not store your full payment card number or security code on our servers. Bank account details used for payments, refunds, or payouts are stored securely and are accessible only to authorized staff.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and remember your shopping cart.
- Remember your preferences, such as language.
- Understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages they view and which links they click.
- Help protect the Site against fraud and malicious attacks.
Third parties, such as analytics providers, may also set cookies or use similar technologies on the Site. You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. If you do, some parts of the Site, such as login and checkout, may not work properly.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the Site, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and you can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This includes keeping order and payment records as long as required by tax, accounting, and other laws. When we no longer need the information, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to personal data. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
CardPouchy is based in the United States and serves customers around the world. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your country. Where required by law, we will take appropriate steps to protect your information during such transfers and obtain your consent.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information or close your account.
- Withdraw your consent or object to certain uses of your information.
- Opt out of marketing messages.
You can update most account information by signing in to your account. For other requests, email us at admin@cardpouchy.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Other jurisdictions: If the data protection laws where you live give you additional rights, we will honor those rights as required by law.
Do Not Track signals: Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for how to respond to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, such as eBay, Fanatics, Goldin, PSA, and Beckett. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies.
11. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site and Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it and close the related account. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, please contact us.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above. If the changes are material, we will post a clear notice on the Site or notify you by other means. Your continued use of the Site or Services after the update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
